The Pixel Fold: Partial Features and Price Leak Amid High Anticipation – Market Research Telecast
Google confirms Pixel Fold launch at Google I/O
It’s no secret that Google is set to unveil its first foldable phone, the Google Pixel Fold, at this year’s Google I/O conference in May. Recently, CNBC revealed that they had access to internal Google documents which confirmed the launch and provided insight into the phone’s specifications.
Pixel Fold priced lower than expected
Folding screen technology has a high cost, with a large portion of OLED sheets breaking during manufacturing, resulting in less available material. However, Google aims to lower the cost as much as possible for the Pixel Fold. According to CNBC, the phone’s codename Felix will have a more durable hinge than any other folding phone on the market, allowing for a lower price point of $1,700. This is less than the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4’s $1,799 price tag.
The Pixel Fold’s design and features
The Google Pixel Fold will feature a book-type design with both 7.6-inch and 5.8-inch screens. The device will deliver an excellent multimedia experience, thanks to Samsung OLED panels. Additionally, the phone will come equipped with Google’s new Tensor G2 processor, though the RAM configuration is currently unknown.
Release date and availability
While set to launch in May, the Google Pixel Fold likely won’t hit the market until later in the year. Additionally, it remains unclear if the device will be available in Spain or other international markets.
