Speculation Amanda Stoker could ‘put her hand up’ for Stuart Robert’s seat following resignation
There’s speculation that former senator and Sky News host Amanda Stoker could “put her hand up” for the seat of Fadden in Queensland following Liberal MP Stuart Robert’s resignation, according to Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell.
“Fran Ward is the president of the local FEC and is also expected to put her hand up,” Mr Clennell said.
“Mr Robert’s departure is bound to increase speculation over whether former PM Scott Morrison will go soon, given that it would look untidy to have two by-elections a couple of months apart,” Mr Clennell said.
