Spain’s sunniest destination for spring is ‘lovely’ – full list
Sunny Spain is top of the bucket list for many Britons. New research from Airbnb management company, GuestReady, has found that one of the country’s cities is Europe’s sunniest destination in spring.

Murcia, in southeastern Spain, was named Europe’s sunniest spring destination with an incredible 346 hours of sunshine per month on average.
The city was also affordable for holidaying Britons with the average price of an Airbnb just 98.28 euros (£85.36) on average.
Spain’s seventh largest city, the city is close to the gorgeous beaches of Spain’s Costa Calida.
One of the city’s top-rated attractions on Tripadvisor is the Plaza de las Flores, one of Murcia’s pretty squares.
‘V0nney1’ wrote on the review platform: “Lovely little corner, You just locate this little plaza and it just opens up in front of you with stunning wall art.”
Tourists should also check out the Cathedral de Santa Maria, and the art museum, Real Casino de Murcia.
Grabbing a drink in Plaza Cardenal Belluga offers stunning cathedral views and the bustle of the city.
Catania, Sicily’s ancient port city, was second on the list and the highest ranked destination in Italy.

The city’s central square, Piazza del Duomo, is Catania’s main attraction and tourists can visit the cathedral there.
Catania’s La Pescheria weekday fish market is well-worth a visit and tourists in self-catered accommodation could pick up a fresh dinner.
Tirana, Albania’s capital city, was the third sunniest destination for spring and could be the ideal bargain break for May.
The average price of an Airbnb in the city is just 61.88 euros (£53.67) per night while a beer costs under £1.50.
Spain dominated the list of destinations with popular hotspots such as Alicante, Las Palmas and Malaga all making the top 10.
Messina and Palermo also made the top rankings making Italy another great choice for a sunny spring break.
British tourists could combine a trip to Catania with a visit to Palermo on a longer Sicilian adventure.
Flights in spring are generally cheaper than summer and Britons may be able to enjoy more pleasant mild weather.
