Sign Us Up! New Wearable Technology Helps Sore Muscles Recover Without Having To Lift a Finger
While they made their mark with the Theragun, Therabody’s latest device is a personal wearable.
In the world of recovery gadgets, Therabody is generally on the top of everyone’s list. With a family of Theraguns, the brands massage gun, at a bevy of price points, they aim to be the entry point and then even the upgrade for someone down the line.
While they made their mark with the Theragun, Therabody’s latest device is a personal wearable. Essentially combining the vibration of a massage gun into a sleeve with multiple motors, compression tech, and infrared for a strap-on, use anywhere recovery system.
Here at Parade.com, we’re all about sharing products we love with our audience. When you make a purchase on an item seen on this page, we may earn a commission, however, all picks are independently chosen unless otherwise mentioned.
The RecoveryPulse comes in two flavors, one for the arm and one for the calf, both priced at $149. You can also get a pair for $249. Therabody is already taking orders for the RecoveryPulse Calf, while the Recovery Pulse Arm will be available later this spring.
What Makes RecoveryPulse Unique?
The unique proposition here is that unlike a Theragun Mini which you need to hold with one hand and use in the desired area, the RecoveryPulse can just work on its own. In its most basic form it’s a comfortable sleeve that you will slide on your arm or calf and turn to one of the three modes.
From there the motors will power on for vibration, the sleeve itself provides the compression, and there’s even some infrared light technology occurring. All of this to help recover and soothe that area. Imagine you just finished a cycle on a Peloton at home or are coming back from a SoulCycle class, you can use the RecoveryPulse Calf to help reduce sore muscles.
Built into the sleeve here are QX-Micro Motors which make up the VibraPulse Technology. These are positioned strategically in layers of the fabric to provide a strong treatment that can help one properly recover. Therabody specifically calls out this wearable is ideal for tennis elbow, calf cramps, and golfer’s elbow.
The real appeal we’d say though is that you can use this anywhere. It doesn’t need to be physically plugged into power and you can wear this while out and about, or even while sitting at a desk to work.
To ensure RecoveryPulse is comfortable, Therabody is using FlowKnit Fabric which is breathable and helps to regulate temperature along with improving circulation.
The best part is that it’s machine washable … just remember to remove the battery. As far as battery life goes you can expect a 45 minute runtime. You’ll of course need to recharge the battery and it is removable from the sleeve.
Lasty, but not least, you have a low, high, and wave mode to pick between. Both low and high are vibration therapy with the former being best for general pain relief or everyday use. The high mode is best for pre or post workout to properly stimulate the area. Wave, as the name hints at, moves in between low and high for a custom mode.
So whether you swear by a Theragun Mini or have been looking for a recovery wearable that can be worn, the RecoveryPulse for arm or calf deserves a look. It’s also priced pretty competitively in comparison to higher-end massage guns as well.
If you’re sold the RecoveryPulse Calf is shipping now at $149 for a single unit or $249 for two. RecoveryPulse Arm will be priced the same when it goes up for order later this Spring.
