Princess Anne obstructs Harry’s view of Coronation with bold accessory
The Princess Royal looked smart and elegant wearing her Blues and Royals uniform with the dark green Thistle Mantle.
This included the Thistle Collar, Garter Sash, Garter Star, Thistle Star, GCVO Star, full-sized medals, KCVO Star and Companion of the Order of the Bath neck decoration.
The Thistle cloak is made from deep green silk velvet with a lining of white taffeta and features a hand-embroidered gold badge and garter blue velvet hood.
Anne admitted she was happy to wear military uniform for the occasion because it solved any issues in deciding what to wear at the Coronation.
Known for being the hardest-working member of the Royal Family, she was smiling as she exited her car to make her way into Westminster Abbey.
Underneath her cloak, she opted for her military uniform, adorned with her numerous military medals.
Princess Anne paired her look with a black hat which featured a bold red feather detail. This part of the Princess Royal’s outfit caused quite a stir on social media.
Twitter user @Alicia_noreally said: “You know what, I don’t know much about any of them, but Princess Anne looks cool.”
In addition, @TinaD24001610 commented: “She is a force to be reckoned with what a strong wonderful woman Princess Anne is.
“Her mother would be proud, especially the great choice of hat.”
