A San Francisco mansion that appeared in the fairytale classic film The Princess Diaries has been listed for $8.9 million, reports Mansion Global.
The home appeared as the façade of the high school attended by actress Anne Hathaway’s character, who discovers her royal lineage in the film, according to the report.
The seller of the home, Michael Mendes, was the CEO of well-known San Francisco bakery and retailer Just Desserts. He purchased the home in 2009 for $6.4 million. The home was also once owned by Bob Lurie, past owner of The San Francisco Giants.
The 4,554 square foot Mediterranean-style mansion has four bedrooms and four baths and is near the eastern edge of the Presidio Wall. It has some sweet features including a roof garden, a media room, an elevator and panoramic bay and city views. The rooftop touts a kitchen, heaters and a fire pit.
Steven Mavromihalis and Jessica Grimes with Compass are the listing agents.
