‘Not what it should be’: Bill Shorten says NDIS ‘needs a reboot’
NDIS Minister Bill Shorten says the NDIS is “not what it should be” and it “needs a reboot” to reach its full potential.
“It is not delivering the outcomes Australians with disabilities need, and the Australian public expects,” Mr Shorten said.
“My colleague and I are strongly committed to delivering on the how, not just the why … this government has worked to deliver on our promises, for me that’s working every day to get the NDIS back on track.
“I believe the first and best way to safeguard the integrity of the NDIS is to put people of lived experience in leadership roles.”
