My Hero Academia Season 5 Changed These Major Aspects From The Manga – Looper

As detailed by GameRant, manga readers will notice that two of the three arcs in “My Hero Academia” Season 5 came out in a different order than they did in Horikoshi’s manga. While both the anime and manga placed the Class 1-A vs. Class 1-B arc in the same spot in the overall story, the anime aired the Endeavor Agency and My Villain Academia arcs in the opposite order.

As noted in the article, this is likely due to the fact that the third “My Hero Academia” movie was released close to the airing of the Endeavor Agency arc. Since the movie, titled “My Hero Academia: World Heroes’ Mission,” takes place during this arc, it makes sense from a business perspective to simply shift the arcs around to better coincide with the movie’s release.

However, it seems that there were other key differences as well. For one, Spinner’s character arc appears to have been minimized, as have the roles of members of the Paranormal Liberation Front. This could be due to the overwhelming popularity of villains like Tomura Shigaraki (Koki Uchiyama/Eric Vale), Toga (Misato Fukuen/Leah Clark), and Twice (Daichi Endo/Newton Pittman), all of whom had big moments during the My Villain Academia arc.

Either way, with Season 6 of “My Hero Academia” starting the charge toward the end of these characters and their stories, the stakes have never been higher. The latest season will continue to air as the anime winter season takes over from the fall season.
