Man who entered Alameda High campus without permission charged with battery, child molestation

A man arrested last week after police said he walked onto the Alameda High campus and began harassing students has been charged with three misdemeanors in the incident, authorities said.

Alameda County prosecutors charged the 27-year-old with battery, child molestation and with carrying a razor blade on school grounds, according to court documents.

In a declaration of probable cause, Alameda police Ofcr. James Green said the man on Dec. 6 went onto the Alameda High campus, where he had no business.

According to Green, the man approached a 16-year-old girl and attempted to kiss her by trying to forcibly remove her face mask.

The man then went into a nearby classroom and grabbed a 15-year-old girl by her wrist. Green wrote. She pulled away from him and told her teacher, who then confronted the man.
