India vs England: Virat Kohli gets dismissed for the first time in Adelaide in T20Is
Virat Kohli’s incredible run at the Adelaide Oval came to an end on Thursday as he was dismissed for the first time on the ground. Kohli’s wicket was claimed by Chris Jordan on the day.

By India Today Web Desk: Virat Kohli’s incredible streak at Adelaide Oval came to an end on Thursday as he was dismissed for the first time at the ground during the second semi-final between India and England.
Kohli was dismissed by Chris Jordan on the day, as the star batter hit a wide yorker into the hands of Adil Rashid after scoring another fifty in the tournament.
The Indian star’s love affair with Adelaide is quite remarkable as he has played three T20I matches at the ground since 2016. In the three games, Kohli has scored 204 runs at the ground with an incredible average of 204.00 with two not outs to his name. His highest score is 90 not out and he has scored three fifties till now. His strike rate at the ground in the shortest format of the game is 146.76 from 139 balls faced.

On Thursday, Kohli brought up another well-timed fifty in the T20 World Cup, which was his fourth of the tournament. The star batter scored 50 off 40 deliveries and his innings consisted of four boundaries and one six. India ended up scoring 168 runs for the loss of six wickets in their allotted 20 overs on the back of some masterful batting from Hardik Pandya. Pandya scored 63 runs off 33 balls to set up the challenging total for England.
Kohli himself also revealed his special affection towards the Adelaide Oval and said that he loves playing at the venue and it makes him feel at home.
“I absolutely love playing in this ground. Right from the nets at the back, as soon as I enter, it makes me feel at home. That knock at MCG was meant to be, but when I come here, it’s like I’m meant to come to Adelaide and enjoy my batting,” said Kohli.
