Hospital waiting times are ‘still too long’: Bill Shorten
NDIS Minister Bill Shorten says despite the national average hospital waiting time decreasing to 33 days, it’s “still too long”.
“One of the pressures of bed blocks in our hospitals, one of the pressures on the health dollar and most importantly one of the pressures on the welfare of profoundly disabled people – the news is getting better, not worse,” Mr Shorten said at a media conference on Thursday.
“Which is a great way to start the new year as we intend to further reform the NDIS for people with disability and provide value for them and taxpayers.”
