The arrest comes two months after a group of suspects was captured on surveillance camera holding Peters Bakery employees at knifepoint. According to SJPD, the incident occurred about 1:20 p.m. after suspects entered the business in search of valuables.
“Fearing for their lives, the victims told the suspects where the cash box was,” SJPD wrote.
According to KTVU, the suspects took off with about $1,000 in cash. Through their investigation, SJPD discovered that the suspects also had burglarized an Arteaga’s grocery store about 45 minutes prior. The Mercury News reports that the burglarized Arteaga’s grocery store is located at 204 Willow St. In that incident, burglars smashed a window and stole jewelry from a kiosk inside the business.
