Dua Lipa’s Pink Aura Nails Radiate Good Vibes

Dua Lipa is lighting the way for 2023 with a moonlight pink aura manicure. On Jan. 3, the “Levitating” singer debuted her new nails on her Instagram Stories, crediting celebrity manicurist Michelle Humphrey for the chic new nails. For the trend, inspired by the look of an aura reading, Lipa opted for a mystical pink base surrounded by a smoky gradient effect.

Humphrey kept Lipa’s nails long for the manicure, rounding the tips into an almond shape on each finger. For the “aura” element, the manicurist used dark gray and lavender polish in an ombré pattern around the edge of each nail. Lastly, Humphrey finished Lipa’s look with a glossy clear coat that made the “Potion” singer’s manicure glisten as she held her hand up to the camera. The final result was a mystical manicure just as cool as Lipa’s signature style.

While Lipa is the latest celebrity to try the mesmerizing nail trend, aura nails have been making their way across red carpets and celebrity Instagram accounts for months. In August, Megan Fox showed off a tapered square manicure with a powdery purple and orange aura. Fox’s manicurist topped the moody look with a high-shine finish.

In addition to the hypnotic trend, Lipa’s nail repertoire includes a gloopy purple manicure with a chrome finish, lava lamp-inspired nail art, maximalist chain nails, and more. Most recently, Lipa celebrated the holidays with Christmas tree-themed nails in black, topped with tinsel-like embellishments in blue, purple, silver, gold, and red.
