Chipotle Mexican Grill offers freebies in new ‘Freepotle’ program
Chipotle Mexican Grill is launching a new perk for rewards club members called “Freepotle.” It could include as many as 10 freebies in 2023, according to a news release from the Newport Beach-based chain.
The promotion kicks off with free guacamole to be included with any order larger than $5 made through Sunday, Jan. 15.
The promotion also includes a giveaway of “free Chipotle for a year” to 3,100 rewards members in honor of the chain’s more than 3,100 locations. To enter, members must make a minimum purchase of $5 through Jan. 15.
Existing rewards members are automatically enrolled in “Freepotle.” New members who sign up before March 6 will also qualify.
There will also be a prize wheel daily on TikTok Live and Instagram Live at 9 a.m. PST through Friday, Jan. 13. Fans can qualify for prizes by watching and commenting on either platform. Chipotle will choose one commenter from each platform and spin the wheel for them.
The program has other terms explained at chipotle.com/rewards.
A recent TikTok menu hack that went viral will be become a limited time offering for rewards members in March, according to the news release. In December Alexis Frost, who describes herself as a Bay Area foodie, posted a TikTok video that showed her “eating what employees would order” at Chipotle. It was a steak quesadilla with extra cheese and fajita vegetables that she was told would taste like a Philly cheesesteak. The 22-second video has been viewed more than 1.7 million times.
