Number 1: Bike Shorts

Wearing bike shorts was something new for Jordana when she settled into life in Australia, but as much as she loves them now, she said it’s something she could never do in the UK.

“And not because I don’t think I look cute, but because the British public will never accept me,” she explained.

“When I first got to Australia and saw people wearing bike shorts, I was like ‘sure, I’ll do that when I’m thin, not my size now.’

“It took me six months to get the courage and then I started wearing them and I love them. I wear them every day.

“But when I wore them in the UK last summer, I got the dirtiest looks, like someone my size can’t be wearing bike shorts.

“Maybe only leggings is acceptable, but I’ll never wear bike shorts in the UK again.”

Number 2: Coffee

Coffee culture is huge in Australia, and Jordana said it tastes so good here, she could never go back to the coffee she had in the UK.

“Australia ruined me. It has such good coffee,” she said.

“When I go back (to the UK), I can’t drink the Starbucks of the Costa. Never again.”

Jordana said that although the UK can brew a good pot of tea, Australia takes the cake in having a better cup of coffee.

“Don’t waste your money. Just enjoy the tea,” she said.

Number 3: Complaining about distances

Australia is roughly 32 times bigger than the UK, so naturally, everywhere you go in Australia is far for British expats.

“In Australia, distance isn’t a concept,” Jordana said in her video.

“People do a 3-hour round trip just to get a doughnut.

“So now in the UK, a 2-hour drive? Nothing.

“Aus has changed me.”

‘You’re one of us now’

Hundreds of Jordana’s fans took to the comment, happy she’s fitting into the Aussie lifestyle.

“You’re one of us now,” one said.

“I love how you have adapted to the Aussie way of life,” wrote another.

Many of the commenters agreed with her points, particularly about having the best coffee.

“London has some good coffee shops. Ran by Australians,” one person said.

“Nothing compares to Australian coffee,” said another.

“Coffee one is so true! I remember going to London and the best coffee I had the entire trip was from an Aussie run cafe in Oxford Street,” said a third.

As for distances, some people shared the wild distances they have driven in Australia, showing just how big the country is.

“My parents are 11 hours away but we are connected by the Bruce Highway so therefore they are just down the road,” said one Aussie.

“We drive a 6-hour round trip for a Bunnings. It is what it is,” said another.

“I drove around 3 hours for a burger today,” a third wrote.
