A Gilmore Girls Star Is Coming To The DC Universe – Looper
Keiko Agena, the actress best known for playing Lane Kim in “Gilmore Girls,” is set to join the DC Universe. Agena will appear in the fourth season of “Doom Patrol,” news the actress revealed during an AMA on Reddit. She didn’t mention what character she’ll be playing when the new season premieres on HBO Max on December 8 (via Deadline), but that didn’t seem to dampen the enthusiasm of her fans.
The Q&A between Reddit users and the performer took place on the r/GilmoreGirls subreddit, where Agena fielded many questions from eager fans throughout the thread who are just as excited about her new role on “Doom Patrol” as she is. “I love Doom Patrol! Can’t wait to see you there!” said u/Inka_b. And u/TomatilloBeginning78 echoed the enthusiasm, saying: “Oh wow, that is a great show, can’t wait to see you on that!!”
Since her time on “Gilmore Girls,” Agena has stayed busy with roles on the Netflix drama “13 Reasons Why,” AMC’s “Breaking Bad” spin-off “Better Call Saul,” and the Fox suspense thriller “Prodigal Son” (via IMDb). “Doom Patrol” follows the misadventures of a team of deeply traumatized heroes as they battle their inner demons and occasionally save the day. Among them are Robotman (Brendan Fraser/Riley Shanahan), Elastigirl (April Bowlby), Negative Man (Matt Bomer), and Crazy Jane (Diane Guerrero).
