The India batter was on fire at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Sunday, November 6 as he hit a 25-ball 61 not out in India’s last Super 12 match against Zimbabwe in the T20 World Cup 2022. Suryakumar sent the ball flying across all parts of the ground as he hit a 25-ball 61 to help India dominate Zimbabwe in Melbourne.
Suryakumar Yadav hit the 4th fastest fifty by an Indian in T20 World Cups as he got to his fifty in just 23 balls. During the course of his knock, Suryakumar also became only the 2nd batter in world cricket to complete 1000 runs in T20Is in a calendar year.

Suryakumar Yadav became the first Indian to achieve the feat as he took his tally to 1026 in 28 matches in 2022. He is well ahead of Pakistan’s Mohammad Rizwan, who is at the second spot in the batting charts for 2022 with 924 runs in 23 matches.
