Chipotle Mexican Grill offers to share its recipe for vinaigrette
Chipotle Mexican Grill plans to let social media influencer Nick DiGiovanni reveal the Newport Beach chain’s recipe for Chipotle Honey Vinaigrette in a charitable challenge.
Chipotle wants to help The Farmlink Project donate more than 10 million pounds of produce to food banks this winter and reach an overall goal 20 million pounds by January, according to a news release.
Customers can help by rounding up their online or Chipotle app purchases or donating Chipotle points to the cause.
If the organization hits the goal, DiGiovanni will leak the recipe on social media.
DiGiovanni is a chef who appeared on “MasterChef USA” from 2019-2021. He made Forbes’ 30 Under 30 List for 2021.
He explains the challenge in a video on his TikTok channel, which has more than 9.8 million followers.
Chipotle uses the vinaigrette to top of its salad. Its website describes as being made from scratch in small batches daily with clover honey.
