While casseroles may often be on the heavier side, loaded with carbs, pasta, rice and another carb-heavy ingredients, it’s not that hard to make a lighter version of them.
Healthy casseroles can also be chock full of veggies for fiber and color, use less cream or cheese so they’re lighter on the stomach, or even forgo wheat all together for gluten-free alternatives.
