William and Kate ‘screaming’ detail rocks coronation: ‘Looks like they went through hell’

Controversy and intrigue surround the circumstances that resulted in William and Kate arriving late to the coronation of King Charles III.

The turn of events prompted many social media users to question what had happened to delay the royal couple so significantly.

Others also pointed out that William and Kate looked “miserable” and it “looked like they went through hell” throughout the service, prompting concern.

“I have supreme secondhand discomfort from seeing all the photos of Charles, William, Kate and the kids. I’m sure it’s a long day, and there are probably outdated rules about solemnity, but yikes. They all look miserable,” said one.

Another wrote: “William and Kate look like they went through hell this morning. Only person unbothered is Louis because he was living his best life with his nanny.”

A third added: “She looked p***ed.”

In the moments before their delayed arrival, Channel 7 host Michael Usher confirmed that he had seen the Wales’ royal car “screaming by” and that they were “clearly running late”.

“So whatever’s happened with the Wales, with William, Kate and the kids, it’s a slight delay but it’s completely understandable and reasonable when you’re trying to hustle a couple of kids to get ready,” he said.

Royal expert Angela Rippon said she found it “extraordinary” that the Wales were a bit late.

And royal commentator Victoria Arbiter told Channel 7 host David Koch: “This is very curious. The Wales are not here yet because of course the King and Queen Consort were supposed to be the last (to arrive) so you have to wonder what hiccup there was perhaps at Buckingham Palace this morning.”
