Viv Richards took a trip down memory lane as he relived his cricketing days at Pakistan Cricket Board’s museum in Lahore. Richards is in Pakistan as he was named as a mentor for the Pakistan Junior League.

By India Today Web Desk: West Indies great Viv Richards took a trip down the memory lane, reliving his cricketing days at Pakistan Cricket Board’s museum in Lahore.

In a video shared by the Pakistan Cricket Board, the 70-year-old can be seen looking at the pictures from his cricketing days. He also signed the visitors’ book at the museum.

“A trip down memory lane. Sir Vivian Richards graced us with his presence at the PCB Museum at the NHPC, Lahore,” PCB tweeted.

Richards, along with Javed Miandad, entertained fans as the two engaged in a fun cycling competition on the sidelines of the Pakistan Junior League.

The two former cricketers were named as league mentors alongside the likes of Shahid Afridi, Shoaib Malik, Daren Sammy, Colin Munro and Imran Tahir. The Pakistan Junior League, which started on October 6, will run till October 22.

Richards was previously part of the Pakistan Super League, helping Quetta Gladiators win the title in 2019. The two-time World Cup winner scored 8540 runs in 121 Tests, including 24 centuries. He also amassed 6721 runs in 187 ODIs and took 150 wickets across formats.

On becoming a mentor in the Pakistan Junior League, Richards in a statement said: “I am absolutely thrilled at reuniting with my mate Javed Miandad at the Pakistan Junior League in with whom I cherish some great memories from our playing days.

“Miandad was a fighter and a tough competitor, and it will be lovely to be working alongside him at the Pakistan Junior League, which is an exciting and innovative concept.”
