A new Shake Shack location is opening in Emeryville.
Courtesy of Shake ShackIt feels like so long ago that Shake Shack was the East Coast competitor to the West Coast’s In-N-Out. In-N-Out is continually moving east, having just announced plans to open in Tennessee, and the East Coast-born Shake Shack is now bringing a location to Emeryville. It will be the 11th Bay Area outpost.
Set to open March 16, the new East Bay restaurant will be at 5614 Bay Street, Unit 240, inside the Bay Street mall. All of the classics will be available, like the ShackBurger, crinkle-cut french fries and milkshakes, along with a selection of items from the white truffle menu, which includes the White Truffle Burger, the White Truffle ‘Shroom Burger, and parmesan fries with white truffle sauce.
Emeryville residents will also get a taste of a regional burger, the Golden State Double, which is available only in the Bay Area. The double-patty burger made with grass-fed beef comes topped with cheddar cheese, pickles and smoked garlic aioli. This burger is also on the menu at Bay Area Shake Shack locations such as the new Walnut Creek store, at 1604 Mount Diablo Blvd., and the store in Santa Rosa’s Montgomery Village shopping complex.
Shake Shack originally announced plans for the Emeryville location last year. After the company opened San Francisco stores in Stonestown Galleria, the Westfield mall and Cow Hollow between 2020 and 2022, the plans for the Emeryville outpost have finally come to fruition.
