‘The Voice’ Fans Are Screaming After Kelly Clarkson Dropped a Major Bombshell on Instagram

Kelly Clarkson is spilling all the tea when it comes to her new music.

Ahead of the June 23 release of her new album Chemistry, Kelly decided she’d give a social-media sneak peek at one of the songs on the LP. Uploading a video from a concert she performed in April at Los Angeles’ Belasco Theater, she excitedly revealed her plans to release a lively brand-new single titled “Favorite Kind of High.” While also providing a snippet for folks to listen to, The Voice coach disclosed that the track will debut on all major streaming platforms beginning May 19.

“This is the kind of #chemistry I’m talking about!!” she wrote on Instagram on May 17. “Here’s a sneak peek of my new song ‘Favorite Kind of High’ before it’s out everywhere on Friday.????????☀️.”

Naturally, the news of the first American Idol winner releasing new songs threw fans for a loop. They immediately congratulated Kelly on social media.

‘Chemistry’

“She is BACK!!!???????????????????????????????????????????????? ???? ???? ????,” one person wrote on Instagram. “???? [Yes]! I can’t wait for the whole song,” another follower exclaimed. “I’M SO EXCITED I AM GONNA TO SCREAM THIS ON THE TOP OF MY LUNGS,” a different user yelled.

Despite the upbeat tempo of the novel song, The Kelly Clarkson Show host continues to speak out about the heavy emotions driving the theme of the album. She previously said her divorce from ex-husband Brandon Blackstock provided inspiration for Chemistry, showing both the good and tougher parts of her marriage.

“I didn’t know if I was going to release it, because you can be very angry in that state of mind,” she told Variety in September 2022. “So, some of the songs, they definitely cover the gamut of emotions; there’s everything on the album.”

Kelly also has a lot to celebrate in the coming months, as she is set to hold a summer residency from July 28 through August 19 at the Bakkt Theater at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas.
