‘The Last of Us’ Fans, You’ll Be Crying After Seeing Pedro Pascal in Never-Before-Seen Clip

The Last of Us season 1 finale certainly left fans reeling, but Pedro Pascal has just the cure.

Following episode 9 of the HBO Max show, the actor took a moment to celebrate on Instagram. His post included lighthearted photos of himself as Joel and Bella Ramsey as Ellie, posing together in character. But as it turns out, Pedro snuck in a video on the last slide of the post. It revealed a never-before-seen scene filmed between himself and his pseudo-daughter as they shared a serious heart-to-heart.

“Beldro on the hill,” he captioned it. “To #TheLastofUs cast, creators, and crew. I would stay alive for any of you. Apocalypse-level gratitude. @thelastofus @hbo @hbomax.”

In the snippet, Pedro’s Joel tried to explain something to Ellie only for him to break character and keel over in hysterics, which caused Bella to burst into laughter. Viewers may remember seeing the moment when the characters were about to reach Tommy at the settlement in Jackson, Wyoming. What’s more, Pedro could be heard speaking over the take and dragging out a: “Gurl.”

The Last of Us fans evidently couldn’t contain themselves, either, and reacted in the Instagram comments section. “The last slide is golden ????????,” one person wrote. “GUUUUUUUURL,” another added. “Why is the bloop[er] so funny? I’m wheezing along,” a different follower said.

Bella joined in on the fun and commented, “????????.”

It seems like, despite all the heavy ground to cover, the duo kept things fun when offscreen. Pedro’s friend and hairstylist Coco Ullrich-Mooney also shared more behind-the-scenes clips on Instagram, including glimpses of The Mandalorian actor.

‘The Last of Us’

One clip revealed him messing around on set while the last video on the slide showed Pedro and Bella sweetly dancing arm-in-arm, full costume and all.

The Last of Us fans can expect more of the duo as Warner Brothers renewed the video game adaptation for season 2. Though, it looks like these clips will have to tide fans over …

Ellie’s actress told The Independent that it “will be a while” before we see it on the streamer. She predicted sometime at “the end of 2024, early 2025.”

We can’t wait!
