In a 2018 interview with the German outlet Serienjunkies, Raegan Revord explained why she wouldn’t enjoy having Sheldon Cooper as a brother. “One thing I may not like is that people will probably give him all the attention,” Revord said, putting a significant emphasis on the word “all.” “And I want at least 1% of the attention. … If we split the attention half and half, I wouldn’t mind.”
There are plenty of instances of Missy feeling like Sheldon gets all the attention on “Young Sheldon.” In the Season 3 episode “Pasadena,” for example, Sheldon decides that he wants to go to California to see Stephen Hawking speak at Caltech, and while his family is originally very reluctant, they and his school find a way to get him to the lecture. Meanwhile, Missy points out that their parents wouldn’t even buy her the book she wanted, forcing her to borrow a copy from the library that has a booger on one of the pages.
Of course, Missy gets more attention than she knows what to do with when she grows up. In her first appearance on “The Big Bang Theory,” Season 1’s “The Pork Chop Indeterminacy,” all three of Sheldon’s male friends shower her with attention in the hopes of sleeping with her.
