The knock helped Gujarat win the game by 34 runs and it booked the defending champions a spot in the playoffs, while knocking Sunrisers Hyderabad out of the race.

Playing in his favourite ground at Ahmedabad, Gill scored his maiden T20I century against New Zealand. He scored 126 not out off 99 balls.
The GT batter, who hails from Chandigarh, scored his first Test century on home soil in Ahmedabad itself, against Australia in the fourth Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy earlier this year. He scored 128 runs in that innings.
