Princess Kate looks chic in thrifty £70 Zara blazer and blue jeans

The Princess of Wales has been busy in recent days and weeks raising awareness of her new Shaping Us campaign, which aims to spotlight the importance of early childhood. In a new video shared to the Prince and Princess of Wales’s Twitter account, Kate spoke to food retailer Iceland’s Executive Chair Richard Walker about her campaign. For the occasion, Kate looked chic in a smart blazer and jeans.

The caption accompanying the video on Twitter read: “The foundations for so many of the soft skills businesses are looking for in their workplaces are developed in the earliest years of our lives.

“Great to chat with @icelandrichard all about our #ShapingUs campaign with @earlychildhood.”

The full video is available to watch on the Wales’s YouTube channel. Kate looked elegant in the clip, which seemed to have been filmed a while ago.

To speak to Mr Walker, she opted for a smart casual look of a cream blazer and blue jeans.

Kate’s blazer was from Zara and one she has worn in the past. The Princess’ recycling of outfits shows that she is aware of both environmental and financial issues.

However, some critics have noted that Kate owns many blazers – just last week the royal was seen in a brand new Alexander McQueen cream blazer, which she wore to visit Natwest’s headquarters in the City of London.

Called the Textured Double-Breasted Blazer in Ecru, the garment Kate was spotted in today is still available to buy on Zara’s website for £69.99. The blazer also comes in black and fuchsia.

Kate last wore the blazer for a visit to Derby earlier this year, on February 8.
