Oreo Unveils New Festive Cookie Flavor for the Holiday Season

Like the seasons, Oreo flavors come and go. Soon, there will be a new one in town–and it has nothing to do with pumpkin spice or apple pie.

Fall may have only gotten started, but that hasn’t stopped the brand from looking ahead toward the future. Oreo announced that its newest flavor would be inspired by a festive fan-favorite cookie that may be the staple of winter baked goods to some: Snickerdoodles.

The company previously teased the new addition on Twitter and TikTok before officially announcing the flavor hours later on Sept. 28.

“Want to know the next OREO Cookie flavor? Read the first word of our last 8 tweets,” the first hint read.

After letting fans incorrectly guess the flavor, the brand follow-up, writing, “Did you crack the code?! Our next OREO Cookie flavor is SNICKERDOODLE. Hitting shelves on 10/17!”

The new flavor is said to feature a golden sweet snickerdoodle-flavored base and a spiced cinnamon-flavored creme center accessorized with crunchy green and red sugar crystals for a treat that tastes even sweeter than your grandmother’s favorite cookie.

The seasonal cookie will be available wherever you get your preferred flavor (including Target, Walmart, and the Oreo website) starting on Oct. 17 for a suggested retail price of $4.79, as per a press release.

That said, they won’t be out for long! The limited-edition Snickerdoodle Oreo flavor is only available while supplies last, so if you can’t deny your sweet tooth the chance to see what it’s all about, we suggest marking its release date on your calendars.
