Macca’s trend Aussies need to try

A new Macca’s trend has emerged on social media, with the mouth-watering dish kicking off in the UK.

British TikTok users are creating loaded fries using various dishes they purchased from the fast food restaurant.

Lauren Griffiths, who boasts more than 150,000 on TikTok, is one of the social media users who has taken part in the trend.

“I’ve been seeing the trend all over my For You Page of the McDonald’s loaded fries,” Ms Griffiths said.

“I could not not do this one.”

The content creator bought large fries, crispy chicken tenders, mozzarella dippers, a double cheeseburger with extra pickles, sweet and sour sauce as well as curry sauce.

She loaded all the elements into a bowl before stirring it around.

“I can see why this trend is going absolutely mad,” she said, adding she couldn’t explain how delicious it was.

Another social media user, Dorian Jessica, initially tried the trend using chicken nuggets but opted to do it a second time using a chicken Big Mac.

She also used barbecue sauce as well as sour cream and chives.

“That slaps,” she said after digging in.

Social media users have been going crazy over the trend, with many offering their own takes on it.

“Looks good, but be freezing cold by time you’ve done this,” one social media user said.

Another wrote: “I will try this with a fries, Big Mac (cut up in tiny pieces with scissors), nugs and lashings of Big Mac sauce.”

“I mean it’s just a standard McDonalds order chucked in some plastic bowl. Am I the only one not blown away,” one unimpressed social media user commented.

Another was shocked at some of the ingredients, which can’t be purchased in Australia.

“OMG McDonald’s has chicken strips and MOZZARELLA STICKS OMG,” one said.

Another added: “I think Big Mac sauce would be great on it, I can’t lie.”
