By India Today Web Desk: Kuldeep Yadav said that he was not disappointed after he missed the bus for the T20 World Cup 2022. He started his career back in 2017 as India’s premier spinner, but gradually found it tough to hold on to his spot in the national team.

Even as he remains on the radar of selectors, Kuldeep, somehow, couldn’t make the cut for the T20 mega event in Australia.

However, the left-arm wrist spinner has taken his snub in his stride and said that the best players got selected for the World Cup.

Kuldeep put forth his opinion after India beat South Africa by seven wickets in the third and final T20I on Sunday, October 11 at Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi.

“I am not disappointed about missing out on the World Cup because I am more focussed on the process. I am seeing how I can improve match by match. I am not disappointed as the ones who were selected are among the best,” Kuldeep was quoted as saying in the post-match press conference.

Kuldeep earned the Player of the Match after he picked up four wickets for 18 runs in the four overs he bowled.

During the presser, Kuldeep was also asked if he was missing partnering Yuzvendra Chahal in the spin department. The Young Turk replied with a bit of humour and wished his spin-bowling mate for the World Cup.

“It’s a tricky question. He is in Australia for the T20 World Cup and my best wishes are with him. Hope he performs well and I keep performing in ODIs,” he added.
