Here’s what’s coming to the fried chicken chain’s menu.
KFC is welcoming some new additions to its menu, after announcing it would be removing a few fan-favorite items earlier in the month.
The fast food chain promised to deliver on an overhaul of its current lineup, reintroducing the Double Down sandwich for the first time in nearly a decade.
Now, they’re divulging what else customers can look forward to from the eatery’s refresh.
Beginning March 27, fried chicken lovers can get their hands on the brand’s newest offering: Original Recipe Kentucky Fried Chicken Nuggets.
The latest option is made with 100% white meat and boasts a hand-breaded crispy, crunchy outer layer fans love, because “you deserve better chicken nuggets,” KFC insists.
In an “open letter to nugget-lovers,” they explained to the public exactly why they’ve decided to venture into nugget territory.

“Hey, America. Every single day, we see you out there striving for better,” the statement shared. “Refusing to settle for anything subpar. You quit that job that doesn’t value you. Even ended things with that desk chair that made your back stiff. Mediocrity simply has no place in your life.”
The notice continued, taking an obvious dig at its competitors: “So…can we talk about those chicken nuggets you keep eating? Why do they get a pass? Is it those cute but monotonous cookie-cutter shapes, or the perverse mystery of wondering ‘is this even chicken?’ Is it because of the heroic sidekick sauce that saves every bite from a lack of flavor? Or is it blind loyalty that keeps you sticking with the same nugget you’ve eaten since you had baby teeth? We think you’ve settled enough.”
The statement then offers its alternative, reiterating, “You deserve a chicken nugget that’s Finger Lickin’ Good.”
Enter the newly-introduced menu highlight, made available in 5-, 8-, 12- and 36-pieces at restaurants nationwide starting at $3.49.
In addition, the chain is also bringing back KFC Mac & Cheese Bowls for a limited time starting April 3. Available in regular or spicy, the $5 bowl is “complete with KFC’s famous Mac & Cheese into a bowl topped with the new nuggets and sprinkled with a perfect three-cheese blend,” according to the update.
