Kelly Ripa surprised fans when she released her first book, Live Wire: Long-Winded Short Stories, but they were more recently touched by the heartfelt Instagram she posted thanking her family for their support as she wrote it.
The Live With Kelly and Ryan co-host paid tribute to her husband Mark Consuelos and their children — Michael, Lola and Joaquin — for being her support system. In the photo, Kelly sits on a bicycle surrounded by her loved ones with a flower backdrop. Folks may recognize the family picture from their trip to Italy last summer.
“A #tbt thank you to the most important characters in Live Wire, who inspire/thrill/enthrall and intrigue me every single day,” she captioned the snap. “I love you you turkeys ♥️ (not sure why the bike) ????.”
Reacting to the family photo, Live fans eagerly took to the comment section to share heartwarming messages. “That photo is amazing!!” one person wrote. “Beautiful family!! You all look so happy!!????????❤️????????❤️,” another added. “Kelly, you and Michael has always been my favorite couple. You guys are adorable. ????????,” a different fan said.
Among the many comments gushing over the Ripa-Consuelos household, there were also a ton praising Kelly’s book. ICYMI: She described as a “sharp, funny and honest collection of real-life stories” from the course of her career and her life off-camera.
“Could not book your book down until I finished . . . So so funny and relatable in many ways,” wrote one individual. “Your book is delightful and perfect reading for a road trip (or any time),” said a different person. “Read the whole book in two sittings. Laughed out loud several times and cried at the end. Thank you for a great read @kellyripa!!” another noted.
According to the ABC star, compiling her stories about “childhood, motherhood, marriage, her career and the intersection of all the above” was a process. When she unveiled the memoir’s cover back in April, she also revealed that Mark had tried to give some words of advice. In her signature way, she kept it lighthearted.
“My husband said writing a book is like giving birth. He’s never done either,” Kelly captioned the Live Wire‘s book cover. “Although it would be like giving birth, if giving birth lasted 18 months. A labor of love nonetheless.”
