According to the film’s description on IMDb, John Wick will be going after the High Table in this fourth installment. After growing tired of being the one on the run from swarms of bloodthirsty death dealers, Baba Yaga will be looking to do what he does best against the mysterious leaders of the strange underworld filled with tattooed phone operators, special gold coins, and gun-filled backrooms. The foes looking to stop Mr. Wick this time around will be the most deadly yet, and his efforts to slay his enemies will see him traverse the globe in what looks to be another exhilarating sequel.
Director Chad Stahelski talked about the fourth film he’s directed in the franchise in an interview with IndieWire and hinted at how things could turn out for the titular character. “John may survive all this s**t, but at the end of it, there’s no happy ending. He’s got nowhere to go … He’s f****d for the rest of his life. It’s just a matter of time.”
Stahelski, Reeves, and several other familiar faces will be back in the mix — except for one crucial contributor to the story. “John Wick: Chapter 4” will be the first film in the franchise not to be written by its creator Derek Kolstad, as the studio has chosen to utilize Shay Hatten and Michael Finch instead.
Whatever happens in “John Wick: Chapter 4,” fans can rest assured that there will be plenty of action, with Stahleski promising it will outdo its predecessors regarding the franchise’s bloodiest entry (via IndieWire).
