T20 World Cup 2022: Former captain Virat Kohli led the Indian team huddle, firing up his teammates ahead of the big-ticket semi-final against England in Adelaide. England won the toss and opted to bowl.

By India Today Web Desk: India players looked relaxed yet pumped up in the team huddle minutes ahead of their T20 World Cup 2022 second semi-final against England at the Adelaide Oval. After the overnight run, the sun had come out to greet India and England players who had come out to the Adelaide Oval for the warm-ups.

Interestingly, Virat Kohli was given the pep talk in the team huddle ahead of the toss on Thursday, November 10. Kohli was firing up his teammates ahead of the big-ticket encounter, which is also India’s first T20 World Cup semi-final in 6 years.

All-rounder Hardik Pandya also had a word in the team huddle and kept the mood light as there were plenty of smiles as the players exited the huddle.

Notably, Virat Kohli was the one who gave the pep talk in the team huddle ahead of India’s Super 12 opener against Pakistan in Melbourne. Kohli stepped up with the bat in India’s campaign opener, hitting a 53-ball 82 not out in a stunning chase for India in front of more than 90,000 fans at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.

England won the toss and opted to bowl first in Adelaide on a pitch, which is expected to offer plenty of assistance to batters at the Adelaide Oval. England lost their express pacer Mark Wood and batter Dawid Malan to injuries. England brought in Chris Jordan and Phil Salt in their places.

On the other hand, India retained Rishabh Pant in the XI, picking the youngster ahead of veteran wicketkeeper-batter Dinesh Karthik.

The winner of the second semi-final between India and England will meet Pakistan in the final on Sunday in Melbourne. Pakistan defeated New Zealand in a one-sided semi-final in Sydney on Wednesday.
