It’s food ordering of the future!
There’s a new way to order Wendy’s—via your Roku TV.
Roku and DoorDash are bringing together both meanings of binging—watching and eating—with a partnership that makes ordering food even easier, proving the case that in this society, convenience truly is king.
Enter: interactive click-to-order ads.
The two entities inked a partnership that positions the delivery service as the exclusive marketplace ad partner for DoorDash U.S. restaurants and grocery stores that buy interactive shoppable ads on Roku.
Wendy’s fans are in luck, as the fast food company is the first to buy ads on Roku through the DoorDash pact, offering a $5 discount on orders of $15 or more purchased through Roku’s streaming platform, an offer available through March 12 at participating Wendy’s restaurants in the U.S., per Variety.

“Streaming and delivery just go together, which is why we’re making it easier than ever for Roku users to order their favorite food right from their TV,” said Gidon Katz, Roku’s president of consumer experience.

Additionally, Roku account holders (who have a linked streaming or smart-home device) can get six months of free access to DashPass, the e-commerce company’s $9.99 per month membership program that waives delivery fees on eligible orders.
So, how does it all work? According to the publication, “Roku viewers use their remote to accept the TV ad offer and receive the promotion through text message or email; that links them to the merchant’s storefront in the DoorDash app to redeem the offer.” That simple!
Roku initially launched shoppable ads in 2022 with Walmart, later expanding the program to include thousands of brands.
