Helen Mirren Made a Rare Red Carpet Appearance That Will Leave ‘1923’ Fans in a Daze

Helen Mirren stepped out on the red carpet, and the 1923 star looked gorgeous in green. The 77-year-old actress appeared at the Deadline Contenders event, a series of panels featuring the most acclaimed shows on television. She was joined by two of her co-stars to represent the Yellowstone prequel.

Helen was joined by her 1923 co-stars, Brandon Sklenar (Spencer Dutton) and Aminah Nieves (Teonna Rainwater).

According to Deadline, Mirren joined the cast before even reading a script. She explained, “Taylor likes to write for the people that he knows are going to play the role. That was a combination of flattering and at the same time sort of rather nerve-wracking because I’d actually never met Taylor Sheridan and maybe when he meets me, he won’t want to write for me.”

1923 viewers are glad to know that it all worked out in the end! Up next, the Academy Award-winning actress will appear in the Barbie movie and the newest installment in The Fast & The Furious franchise.
