The Health Services Union has issued New South Wales Premier Chris Minns a list of six demands, including a pay rise of six per cent as strike action begins across the state.
Paramedics and patient transport officers are refusing to transfer discharged patients from hospitals from 6 am Thursday to 7 am Friday – however, end-of-life and dialysis patients will not be affected.
The strike comes as the Health Services Union claims the Minns government has yet to fulfil their election campaign promise to scrap the public sector wages cap.
