The speaker can be used to play music, podcasts and audiobooks through Amazon Music, Apple Music, Spotify, Deezer or Bluetooth, and asking Alexa is a quick and easy way to get the weather forecast or answer to a question.
Amazon’s smart plug uses Alexa to add voice control to any plug socket, and can help set up routines and schedules for switching off lights and devices through the Alexa app and can be used whether at home or away.
When bought separately, the Echo Dot is on sale for £29.99, and the smart plug is reduced to £14.99, so it’s still £2.99 cheaper to buy the bundle, plus the devices are designed to work efficiently together in the home.
The Amazon product page states that the deal will be available until 9am on April 11, however the popularity of the Amazon sale could cause the stock to sell out before then, so it’s worth being quick to get hold of the discounted price.
The bundle can also be used alongside other compatible Echo devices, such as the Fire TVs to create a multi-room sound experience.
