By India Today Web Desk: Barcelona winger Ferran Torres on Sunday played down talks of pressure on him because of his relationship with coach Luis Enrique’s daughter, saying both he and the Spain boss know how to differentiate between family and profession. A lot is expected of Spain after their disappointing runs in 2014 and 2018 and Torres says the relationship will not be a challenge as he heads to the FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar.
22-year-old Ferran Torres went public about his relationship with Sira Martinez, the daughter of Luis Enrique, earlier this year. Ever since, Sira, a show-jumper and also 22, and Torres have been sharing photos together on social media.
“Not at all,” Torres said when asked in Qatar if he felt additional pressure because of the relationship with Sira.
“I think the coach and I, we know how to differentiate between when it’s family and when we are manager and player. I think we have to get on with it in a natural way, just that and we’re getting along fine,” he added.

Coach Enrique also joked about the topic on Saturday when he was asked which of the players in the Spain squad he thought represented an extension of him on the field.
“Very easy – it’s Mr. Ferran Torres – otherwise my daughter will come after me and chop off my head,” Enrique said in an online chat, as quoted by news agency Reuters.
YOUNG ONES ARE HUNGRY
Spain, who have arrived in Qatar with a fine mix of youth and experience, will take on Costa Rica in their Group E opener on November 25. Spain have been drawn into a group that also has 2014 champions Germany and Asian heavyweights Japan.
Torres backed Enrique’s vision as the coach picked a relatively young squad for the FIFA World Cup. Several senior men, including PSG’s Sergio Ramos, were left out as Enrique seeks to build a new powerhouse team that rivals the 2010 World Cup-winning side.
Sergio Busquets is the only member of the 2010 team to feature for Spain in Qatar.
“We are a team with a lot ahead of us, we are very young,” Torres said.
“The young ones, we are very hungry, very ambitious and keen to show off our football.”
