Fairmont Hotels Has Launched A Tea Blend Perfect For Sipping During Coronation Viewing Parties

With the coronation of King Charles III just under two weeks away, there’s excitement steadily building. Events and watching parties are being planned, and even for those who will not be on the ground in London, there’s a lot of activity in the works.

This excitement includes a variety of celebratory product launches in honor of this historical occasion and the latest is the rather appropriate-for-occasion release of Fairmont Hotels & Resorts’ signature tea LOT 35’s new exclusive coronation tea blend.

Windsor Blend, LOT 35’s exclusive Darjeeling tea blend created in honor of King Charles III upcoming coronation, is now available and will be a rather fitting sipping choice while enjoying scones and watching coverage of this momentous moment in history. Windsor Blend is a black tea with honeysuckle notes from Darjeeling that is prime for a celebratory afternoon tea.

“Charles III loves Darjeeling tea with milk and honey. To mark the occasion of his ascent to the Throne, we have crafted this regal blend of Darjeeling and black teas sourced from gardens situated in the former British Empire- starting as low as the banks of the mighty Brahmputra River and rising up as high as the Himalayas,” said Mairead Murray, Executive Director, Food & Beverage, Fairmont North & Central America, in a statement.

The new tea blend is available now and sells for around $15 for a box of 15 tea bags — a buck a tea bag ain’t too shabby when celebrating such a posh affair. If enjoying in honor of the new king, you just may want to add milk and a dash of honey – may as well honor the king in the way he enjoys his own tea!
