Political hopeful Terry Campese has spoken to Sky News Australia host Erin Molan about his shock decision to today pull out of the NSW state election race.
In the exclusive interview, Mr Campese – a former NRL footballer – said the decision was made with his family and community in mind.
Mr Campese, who Labor pinned high hopes on to win the National stronghold of Monaro at the March 25 election, on Friday had to answer questions after footage emerged of him barely clothed in a video seen by the Daily Telegraph.
“I feel that I’ve let the community down because I still believe that I would make a really good local representation for the community and be able to push their voice forward,” Mr Campese said.
