With “DRIVING TO RENO WITH _UENTIN TARANTINO” already filled in, Jennings needed just one letter to finish the puzzle in the “Rhyme Time” category. “I wish I could help, I really do, but you can buy some time by spinning,” host Pat Sajak said before Jennings’ turn.
Jennings, who played for three teams during his seven seasons in the NFL, quickly chose the letter “P” after landing on $600.
“No, no, I’m sorry no,” Sajak replied.
Jennings knew he was going to become the butt of jokes online as he took to Instagram before the episode aired to tease his appearance and told followers, “You will definitely get some laughs.”
In predictable fashion, Jennings was quickly roasted online after Barstool Sports shared a clip of his mistake, with one person calling him “the worst Wheel of Fortune player of all time!”
“P???” a second questioned. “Doesn’t even make sense.”
“The way he says P has me crying-laughing, he knew it was wrong and he was about to get flamed,” a third added.
“That was really funny that you didn’t know the letter,” another person wrote. “I hope that clip goes viral.”
“Rashad Jennings on Celebrity Wheel of Fortune looking like a dunce,” a fifth swiped.
“I mean it really is bad, but if he doesn’t know who he is, can’t really blame him too much,” one person said defending Jennings. “Puentin is pretty far-fetched for someone’s name though.”
With his mistake, Jennings becomes the latest in a never-ending list of Wheel players who have made epic fails on seemingly easy answers.

Earlier this year, during the show’s Teen Week, 10th grader Khushi stumbled as she tried to finish a phrase in the “Food & Drink” category, with the answer being “Fresh Tropical Fruit.”
With the puzzle almost solved, Khushi just needed the “S” and “H” to complete the answer. After guessing “H”, the teen was stumped with the final missing letter.
“Solve it or spin it or… but do something quickly,” Sajak urged as the clock ran down, which led Khushi to take another spin.
Clearly stumped and confused, when it came time for Khushi to give her answer she said, “I’ll go with a … ‘G’,” which would have spelled “FREGH.”
“What?” someone in the audience could be heard yelling in response after the buzzer squawked.
“You know when that happens and you’re sitting at home, you’re saying, ‘How in the world can that (not be solved)?’” Sajak said as he tried to defend Khushi. “But, you know, sometimes it’s a word that just doesn’t want to come into focus for you.”
