Erin Krakow is turning up the heat on Instagram.
While Hallmark viewers await the return of When Calls the Heart, the actress has been busy working on her upcoming movie The Wedding Cottage. With only a few days until the premiere on April 15, Erin shared a sneak peek of the friends-to-lovers storyline featuring actor Brendan Penny. ICYMI: The Wedding Cottage is a venue that Erin’s character Vanessa is trying to reopen for her clients, but Brendan’s character Evan is the owner and has no plans to do so. In Hallmark’s signature way, the “no” is taken as a challenge and the two end up falling in love.
As a way to tease the TV movie, Erin shared a photo of the moment the characters feel sparks fly on Instagram. Although Hallmark shared the start of the conversation between them (the pic below!), the actress decided to up the ante by revealing a chemistry-filled snap of a potential kiss. “By request…a little rom to go with all the com I’ve been posting,” Erin captioned the picture on April 8.
Reacting to the intimate snap, fellow co-star Brendan immediately chimed in. “Ooooohhhh baby!” he quipped.
Unsurprisingly, he wasn’t the only one with thoughts. Hallmark fans didn’t miss the opportunity to drop their two cents in the Instagram comments section about the steamy onscreen moment.
“Geez Louise.. is it hot in here?! ????,” one person wrote. “Ooo y’all didn’t say this was gonna be *spicy* cottage cheese ????????????,” another added. “Whoa!!! Please tell me that this isn’t one of those ‘almost kisses’!!! LOL!!! Both of you!!! Hot!!” a different fan said.
What’s more, many folks were excited to see Erin and Brendan working together. As viewers may know, Brendan previously starred in Chesapeake Shores for six seasons before it was canceled last year. By the looks of it, both of them fell right into step with each other, despite their hilarious hiccups filming romantic takes.
Now, whether the kiss actually happens is still unknown but we’ll definitely be tuning in to find out on Saturday night!
