In an interview with Collider in 2014, Krysten Ritter spoke at length about her career on the whole, some of her favorite movies of all time, and just how much she loved “Breaking Bad.” While her character Jane was killed off towards the end of Season 2, Ritter faithfully continued watching the series until its conclusion at the end of Season 5. And just as it was for many viewers, it was quite an emotional experience for the actor as well, who admitted that she cried during the finale.
“Oh, man, that show is so good,” Ritter said. “I was like, ‘Ahhh!’ watching it, and like, pacing back and forth. I watched the season finale twice, maybe three times. I wanted it to go on. I cried. I felt it for days. I was just like every other crazy a** fan. It affected me in every way, and that’s rare that that happens. I feel like that happened for me with ‘Six Feet Under’ as well, and also that movie ‘All is Lost.'”
It’s obvious that Ritter has a lot of love for “Breaking Bad,” even though she spent only about half a season starring in it. Sure, her experience isn’t too far from a lot of other superfans of the show, but it’s sort of endearing that she has that much love and appreciation for a piece of entertainment she once appeared in. While actors would ideally enjoy the projects they star in, it’s not always guaranteed that it will happen.
