Australia should have an ‘open mind’ to nuclear energy

A Senate committee review is underway to determine whether Australia should remove its prohibitions on nuclear energy installations.

Nuclear advocate Will Shackel says Australia should have an “open mind” concerning the future of nuclear energy.

“We’re at a real turning point here in Australia and I would really encourage that we have an open mind to nuclear energy, that we have a fact-based debate and we give a platform to experts … who really know their stuff,” said Mr Shackel.
