‘American Idol’ Fans Can’t Control Themselves After Ryan Seacrest Posts Rare Personal Pics

Ryan Seacrest may be busy simultaneously hosting American Idol and Live With Kelly and Ryan, but he took the time to show off some old school moments with loved ones.

To celebrate the singing competition series being on the air for 21 seasons, the TV personality surprised fans with never-before-seen personal photos from his own 21st birthday on Instagram. Apart from uploading a picture of his parents giving him a homemade cake and another one of him standing alongside two friends, Ryan also gave details about how he marked the life milestone in his hometown of Atlanta, Georgia.

“Idol turns 21 this year!” he wrote on March 19. “On my 21st birthday I celebrated at a dive bar on Roswell [Road] in Atlanta with 7 friends from the football team (fun fact: I was #21 on the field). East coast, tune in to #AmericanIdol NOW! And let me know what you remember from your 21st birthday ????????.”

While Ryan meant the post to be a moment of celebration for the ABC show he’s been on since day one, American Idol fans didn’t take it that way. They were more focused on the sight of a young Ryan and proceeded to mention so in the comments section.

“Love the frosted tips! ???????? I had a surprise birthday party for my 21st. Had no clue!” one person wrote on Instagram. “When [its] Idol’s birthday but you’re still the main character ????,” another added. “WHAT A THROWBACK!!” a different user claimed.

Needless to say, Ryan has come a long way since his 21st birthday. Plus, his journey continues to grow with his upcoming exit from Live on April 14. No need to worry, though, as he still plans to continue being one of the faces on American Idol. And if that says anything, it’s that he’s certainly enjoying the ride that has gotten him to where his is today.
